Bolinas is located on the beautiful Marin County coastline. It is approximately 30 miles North of San Francisco just off of Hwy 1.

Bolinas is historically known for having many artists, poets, musicians, and writers among its population, including rockstar Grace Slick and Alice Waters, chef of the famous Chez Pannise restaurant in Berkeley. The community has a quirky reputation for tearing down the sign leading into town in order to keep the town from being overrun by tourists.
 
Bolinas is a great place for outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, or surfing. The Alamere Falls can be seen by the adventurous hiker with a roundtrip hike of 8.6 miles. You can also visit the Marin Bolinas Botanical Gardens which boasts over 2000 varieties of succulents on 14 acres. The Point Reyes National Seashore is also not to be missed.
